Due to a maternity cover, this successful FTSE 250 financial services institution are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to support their already strong team for 9-12 months.
The purpose of the role is top provide support to the group and assist with the management of the financial performance and strategic direction of the projects managed by the group and will be required to partner with a number of diverse senior stakeholders to include c suite execs.
General responsibilities of the role will be to manage the process to provide financial reporting and planning for a number of projects and act as a real business partner and manage stakeholder relationships to build up meaningful MI as well as look closely at company performance, profitability and get involved heavily in budgeting and forecasting activities. You will be expected to provide input into commercial and strategic decision making as well as looking at market and competitor analysis and the position will give a real opportunity to think creatively and allow you to look at current processes and improve or enhance where needed..
In order to be considered for this position you must be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA or ACMA) with previous proven experience in a similar project accounting/business partnering/FP&A or decision support role ideally within the financial services sector. You must be commercially savvy and be able to tailor your approach to presenting to senior stakeholders.
