The Role: QA Engineer
The Location: London

The Team:
The team works in an Agile environment and adheres to all principles of Agile. As a QA Engineer, you will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious and hard-working software professionals. The team is independent in driving all decisions and is responsible for the architecture, design and quick turnaround of development of our products with high quality.

  • Functional, Automated, API, and database testing from various feeds on server (Oracle, SQL server) using different testing strategies to ensure the data quality and data consistency, timeliness

  • Work in the Agile environment and adhere to all QA best practices
  • Perform functional, automation, database and API testing for a wide range of enterprise applications
  • Attend and contribute in sprint planning sessions, design test approaches to test user stories within the same sprint, and look for opportunities to automate tests by identifying the areas to minimize retesting
  • Initiate and support performance and security testing
  • Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, Re-testing and contribute to automation.
  • Analyze product requirements and ensure the testing strategy is aligned to a risk-based test approach mitigating risk exposure within all phases of testing; utilize automated testing tools to continuously build automated regression test suite
  • Write test cases and scenarios from the requirements/designs; manage bug tracking, test analysis and reporting
  • Cooperate and collaborate with the teams at various geographic locations
  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Provide prompt response and support in resolving critical issues (along with the development team)
  • Investigate new testing methodologies, keep abreast with latest advances/techniques and ramp up the team accordingly
  • May require after hours/weekend work for production implementations

    What we're looking for:
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in QA or application development
  • Knowledge & experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation
  • Basic knowledge of essential technologies: SQL scripting, PL/SQL, API
  • Experience with SQL
  • Strong experience in MS Excel Add-in and multiple browsers
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Strong in manual testing concepts
    • Knowledge of creating automation scripts (Java / Selenium/VBScript/Groovy Script)
    • Database and ETL testing knowledge
    • Knowledge of commodity markets, data, editorial content, and principles
