Rates Sales Analyst

Before certification – basic tasks

- Support a Rates Sales or Trading desk in their day to day activities

- Work on assigned projects to improve sales reporting and sales data analysis, optimisation and automation

- Client Database work – including Salesforce/CRM updates

- Spreadsheet work

- Market / Client research for prospective clients

- Sales assistance

Following certification

• Provide help and back-up to sales people in the team to help strengthen the firm’s existing client relationship and expand the client base

• Liaise effectively with team members, supporting the team on backing-up accounts in delivering MHI’s Rates’ product suite

• Identify client trends and themes keeping Management and peers abreast of changing landscapes

• Learn with senior sales/trading/research about rates products and attend necessary trainings

• Learn sales job with the senior sales by watching them and getting on calls with them

• Take part in idea generation and follow-up of ideas put on by the team’s clients • Read, follow and market Mizuho’s research to clients

• Help the Expansion the derivatives franchise by supporting people in the team and other team


• Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of financial markets
• Demonstrate established relationships with key stake holders

Technical Knowledge/Skills

• Detailed technical knowledge of Bloomberg & Fixed income sales systems
• Ability to quickly build good working relationships and across the wider business;
• Capability to work under pressure and to prioritise accordingly
• Experience in dealing with business continuity in a changing environment;
• Strong English communication both written and verbal.
• At least one of the Nordic languages is essential
• Good knowledge of Excel and VBA for Excel is ideal
