My client is a Financial Technology firm which provides banks, asset managers, hedge funds and other FS institutions with an award-winning solution to provide relevant, sophisticated data to track insider trading & rogue trading. The have established an impressive client base and now require an client relationship manager to manage & develop those relationships in order to unearth up-selling opportunities.

The role requires the ability to establish and develop lasting commercial relationships which lead to client retention, the ability to discover and profit from up-selling opportunities and to feedback to product development for new functionality/enhancements. The product is designed to be completely multi-asset class therefore the successful applicant will bring in additional revenue by broadening the use of the platform to existing clients through a variety of ways, but largely to increase usage across all asset classes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Regular review meetings with existing clients
  • Promote new functionality or new services
  • Develop deep relationships with a broad range of stakeholders within the client organisation, including senior management, compliance functions, technical functions and users in the front office/PM in hedge funds
  • Work closely with sales during the handover period once a client is on-boarded and live on the platform
  • Work with technology and product to develop a thorough understanding of the complex products.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has some relationship/account management experience from a FinTech/Vendor/other technology provider to the financial services industry. Key requirements include:

  • Experience building trusted and commercial relationships with a broad variety of clients
  • Ability to learn complex technology and compliance concepts and digest in-depth regulation
  • Some client services/RM/sales experience and a track record of up-selling & client retention
  • Knowledge of how to navigate FS institutions, especially large investment banks
  • Education: undergraduate degree minimum
  • An additional language skill would be beneficial but not essential
  • Proactive attitude with the drive and determination to succeed
