Securities & Event Management Analyst


The Role

Our Data Operations team is going through a period of growth, so we are looking to recruit someone with a multifaceted skill set to join our S.E.M (Securities & Event Management) team.  Friendly and fast paced, deadline driven with exceptional attention to detail.

You will be a dedicated individual joining a team which currently consists of 4 analysts, focused on validating inter and intraday market data, the complete life cycle of corporate actions and reference data. This is a broad role where you won’t be restricted in your responsibilities - a great opportunity to be challenged by new and interesting problems to solve, particularly as we move towards automating some of our tasks.


The Individual

You will have pertinent corporate action and reference data knowledge, with the focus on this role to validate and interpret global corporate actions to replicate market adjustments for systematic trading. In addition to analysing and interpreting global events for client bookings you will identify and set up new liquid instruments and validate the integrity of both inter and intraday data. You will also:

  • Review and triage Global exchange announcements
  • Explore continuous improvements in processes and procedures to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Assist with the implementation of key metrics and statistics to improve workflow
  • Cover key persons as and when during holiday periods.


Skills Required

Proven experience within corporate actions and reference data and a solid understanding of asset classes (Equities, commodities) is key. You will need attention to detail and the determination to see initiatives and processes through to completion. You will also have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and a proactive and results driven approach.

System/Software Requirements

  • Microsoft Fluency inc:
    • Excel Intermediate
    • Ideally some experience writing and manipulating SQL queries to extract relevant data
  • Bloomberg or similar data vendor
