Our client is a market leading global capital markets PLC who has been going through an exciting stage of growth. They are now recruiting for a Senior Regulatory Accountant who brings a minimum of 2 years Regulatory Reporting experience. The Regulatory Reporting team is part of the EMEA Financial Reporting Group within the EMEA Finance team. The Senior Regulatory Accountant will be part of the team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the FCA, NFA, DFSA and CFTC and will work closely with Compliance, Risk and Treasury. The role is part of a team of three.

Specifically, the individual will:

— Work with the other regulatory accountants to produce quarterly COREP returns for the 12 UK regulated entities, ensuring disclosure is timely, current and high quality
— Work with the other regulatory accountants to ensure all other UK reporting deadlines are met e.g. monthly Client Money and Assets return, quarterly balance sheet and income statements
— Work with the other regulatory accountants to ensure all reporting deadlines for US and Dubai regulated entities in the UK are met; monthly NFA returns and quarterly CFTC returns, and quarterly DFSA return
— Assist in capital planning by providing regular management information and understanding the key regulatory capital drivers
— Assist with integration work, harmonising reporting and ensuring all new and amended processes are fully documented
— Review the daily client money reconciliation, ensure client money procedures are up to date and lead the audit of client money
— Build, maintain and develop relationship with external advisors, the business, and other Group functions on regulatory capital issues
— Coach team members, share knowledge and help them to develop

Technical Skills:
— Detailed understanding of financial resources and good knowledge of composition and legal requirements, along with a strong understanding of financial statement concepts and principles
— Detailed, practical knowledge of capital requirements under the standardised approach
— Familiarity with all 3 Pillars
— Good overall knowledge of capital requirements as they relate to IFPRU limited activity and limited licence investment firms

Candidates can be part- or fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with Oracle or Hyperion systems experience being beneficial (but not essential)
