At Investec, we're building something distinctive. Our new Mid-Corporate Banking proposition is designed to deliver Corporate Banking that feels like Private Banking, supporting ambitious, fast-growing businesses with a highly personalised and connected client experience.



As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. Working closely with Relationship Directors and specialist teams across the bank, you will act as a trusted partner to clients throughout their journey with Investec. From onboarding and activation through to ongoing servicing, you will help ensure every interaction is seamless, responsive and relationship-led.



This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and experienced team at an exciting stage of growth, helping to shape the future of Investec's Mid-Corporate Banking offering in the UK. You will build strong relationships with clients' Finance and Operations teams, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring they receive exceptional support throughout their banking relationship.




What will I be doing?

• Partnering with Relationship Directors and Product teams to showcase and deliver Investec's client service proposition to prospective and existing clients.


• Understanding clients' operational banking requirements and contributing to the development of tailored client solutions and proposals.


• Creating onboarding, activation and migration plans that give clients confidence throughout their transition to Investec.


• Coordinating the end-to-end onboarding journey, working closely with Operations, KYC, Product and Legal teams to ensure a smooth experience.


• Leading client welcome calls, setting clear expectations and maintaining proactive communication throughout implementation.


• Supporting the migration of transaction banking accounts and payment information onto Investec platforms and services.


• Managing service-related queries and complex escalations, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.


• Conducting service reviews and coordinating account closures or client transitions when required, ensuring a professional and seamless experience throughout the client lifecycle.

What are we looking for?




Essential skills and experience

• Experience in a client service, client relationship or service management role.


• Strong understanding of corporate banking clients and corporate banking products.


• Ability to navigate banking systems and work effectively across operational teams.


• Experience coordinating stakeholders across multiple functions to deliver positive client outcomes.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.


• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.


• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to manage complex situations effectively.


• Learning agility, curiosity and an interest in leveraging technology, including AI and CRM tools, to enhance client service.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience supporting onboarding, activation or migration activities within a banking environment.


• Experience managing operational service reviews and client service escalations.


• Knowledge of transaction banking products and services.


• Experience working closely with relationship management, product, operations, legal or KYC teams.


• Understanding of the operational needs of mid-market corporate clients.


• Experience coordinating end-to-end client lifecycle activities across multiple stakeholders.


• Interest in continuous improvement and enhancing client experiences through process optimisation.


• Ability to build strong relationships with client Finance and Operations teams.
