Liberum seeks an individual to join a team of five within our settlements department. The successful candidate will assist and support all aspects of the business to ensure that timely and accurate reconciliations between various internal and external systems are executed and that all transactions executed are cleared or settled correctly and efficiently. This is an important role within the Business, with visibility to many other departments and members of the Management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic and driven candidate who has had previous experience in a Settlements role within the finance industry and has excellent attention to detail.   

Reporting to:

Settlements Manager


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all operational day to day processes for all clearing and settling transactions
  • Deal with queries from clients, brokers and settlement agents
  • Undertake projects as agreed with the Settlements Manager
  • Liaise with all Front Office departments
  • Develop new systems to maximise the profitability of the company

Employment Terms:

Permanent contract after 6 months probationary period

42.5 hours per week (07:45pm – 17:15pm)

5 weeks holiday

Skills and Experience:


Excellent working knowledge of Crest and European equity markets

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Detail oriented, analytical and logical

Able to prioritise key task and meet strict deadlines

Excellent oral and written communication (excellent telephone manner)

‘Can do’ attitude; good problem solving skills

Proven track member as effective team member



Experience of corporate actions and dividends

Experience of working within rules & regulations of Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering & CASS

High level understanding of Settlements, reconciliations and operations trade lifecycle
