The Role 

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to cover a period of maternity leave of up to a year. You will be joining a team with a thirst for adventure, high integrity and a founder spirit. This role forms part of our integral part of our client proposition team in respect of preparation, submission and follow up on credit applications through the various Corporate and Institutional Bank credit processes. 

What you’ll do

  • Deliver the credit support to our business relating to Foreign Exchange hedging lines – assisting with the construction, checking and submission of all standard credit applications
  • Liaise with the client facing sales and dealing teams to ensure appropriate limits are requested, rationalised and that all required information is received before submission
  • You will take responsibility for the Annual Reviews of lines for the client base. Deal with exceptions from the automated process and sponsor though appropriate forums
  • Act as the responsible credit steward for any client credit line breaches, explain and remedy these breaches in partnership with the client facing teams

About you

  • Application of credit knowledge to ensure all relevant documentation and information is included within credit submissions
  • Ability to develop an understanding and articulate the forms of collateral/security which may be appropriate when offering FX and other hedging credit lines to counterparties
  • Ability to perform a level of credit analysis on SME balance sheets and related statements sufficient to rationalise and respond to questions around our facility requests
  • Interest and desire to learn about derivative products and solutions offered by banks to their customers
  • Highly computer literate, with good skills in Excel in particular
  • Strong administrative and prioritisation skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong team and collaborative orientation
