A Trader Facing WPF Developer role has become available with a top tier Investment Bank based in central London as they look to bring the ownership of the platform from NYC to London.

A C# .NET WPF Developer is required by a top tier Investment Bank based in central London. The role would see you taking ownership of a trader facing Equity Derivatives Trading platform, taking ownership over the core functionality of the platform which includes complex options and some algorithmic trading functionality. Operating in an agile fashion to manage multiple feature requests involving other specialists, you'll be responsible for building relationships with the business to understand the problems you are solving including writing your own technical specifications and taking your software right through to testing and post release modifications.

The environment is hard working but supportive, and the team is open to considering C# developers from outside of Equities provided you have knowledge of any liquid asset class. In the role you'll learn a lot about the financial mechanics of risk and pricing, particularly the practical implementation of Black Scholes so a genuine interested in the area is necessary to help maintain engagement throughout the learning curve.

Key skills

C# .NET development experience ideally coupled with WPF UI experience

Knowledge of multi-threading and MVVM design patterns

Basic knowledge of relational databases

A broad understanding of the financial services landscape ideally but not limited to Equity Derivatives; would also consider a background across FICC

Role details

Location: central London

Salary: between £65,000 and £85,000

Bens: very good flexible working/home working inc good bonus potential, pension, life insurance etc

This is an excellent front office WPF developer role, with very in depth exposure to the mechanics of Equity Derivatives. This is a consistently high performing business for the Investment Bank and is consistently one of the most invested in teams across the office. In addition to the real-time, highly multi-threaded nature of the system which would be a real challenge and would continue to enhance any skill set the role would offer a good platform to get noticed for future progression, as the role would be taking over from one of the lead developers who had really strong business relationships.
