Outstanding opportunity for a lawyer to become the new Head of Legal for a leading and established provider of luxury holiday homes.
A leading provider of luxury holiday homes with sites across the UK in the most idyllic locations has been growing significantly in recent years. With more and more families seeking luxury 'staycation' holidays, the Company has demonstrated significant growth and consequently is seeking to hire its first Head of Legal.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, as part of the Senior Management Team, the role will be responsible for all legal, risk, governance and company secretarial matters. The position will have in house legal support with a junior lawyer and has strong relationships with a panel of law firms.
The Head of Legal will advise on a range of legal and company secretarial matters including but not limited to commercial and corporate legal advice on all business affairs; all company secretarial and Board operations including AGMs, Board meetings and managing shareholder relations; real estate, property and planning legal matters; litigation; and managing the legal budget. Candidate Requirements:
- As Head of Legal you will be expected to have at least 7 years' PQE. Candidates applying directly from private practice should have experience on secondment; in-house legal experience is highly advantageous.
- You will have strong corporate law and corporate governance knowledge, especially around Company Secretarial matters and be able to work closely with the Board, acting as Counsel, but also administering all Company Secretarial duties.
- Experience advising on a wide range of commercial legal issues will be very important such as data protection, marketing, digital and customer / supplier related agreements.
