Make decisions that matter, while protecting our customers We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crime Assurance Senior Manager (Monitoring) to join our team in Milton Keynes or London although you will be required to be in Milton Keynes 2-3 days per week.

The Assurance Senior Manager will be responsible for implementing and executing the monitoring plan to support the Assurance plan and to evidence the effectiveness of key systems and controls across key businesses, whilst being able to identify and maintain a matrix of key Financial Crime controls for monitoring.

As a Financial Crime, Assurance Senior Manager (Monitoring) your main responsibilities will be

  • Devising and driving the Financial Crime monitoring strategy across San UK
  • Coordination of the Assurance reviews with the monitoring reviews
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of each component of the key control framework, reporting to the appropriate governance forums and escalating issues and recommendations to Senior Management
  • Overseeing the reporting of MI and interrogating MI produced by business units and central teams
  • Working closely with the business to address control breakdowns as a result of monitoring and assurance reviews

Minimum skills and experience required

  • Relevant Internal Audit and/or Financial Crime qualifications
  • Knowledge of UK and EU Financial Crime frameworks, regulations and guidance
  • Proven experience and interaction with regulators
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to escalate issues as required
  • Excellent report writing skills
