Data Acquisition Lead Developer, St Albans
Your opportunity
The team you will be working in is responsible for the direction, development and support of Deloitte's Global Audit Analytics platform, a platform supporting thousands of users and clients. The platform is of central importance to Deloitte's Audit business and has been, and continues to be, a source of major investment for the firm. The award-winning platform already has a number of patents filed; innovation and quality are our watch words.
The team is structured across the UK, India, and five other countries. It is currently undergoing expansion and is looking for a Data Acquisition Lead to develop and support in-house extraction tools which acquire financial data (e.g. general ledger transactions) from client ERP systems with minimal user setup and intervention.

Working for the Programme Lead, the purpose of the Role is firstly to extend the capability of these tools onto new ERP systems and modules (e.g. fixed assets and payables subledgers) in line with the Global Transformation Agenda and strategic aim of delivering a data-driven audit and secondly, to provide end-user support for the tools.

You will support the onboarding and management of a small global team who will be exclusively focussed on data acquisition, and will provide training, support and co-ordination of the activities of other specialists around the world who will also be engaged in development on a part-time basis.
Your team will acquire ERP system reports and extracts, and map these to a common format, determining the database tables, fields, filters, and transformation required. An intricate, complex, yet rewarding challenge: the Data Acquisition Team is at the heart of our analytics vision.
This role requires a blend of audit, accounting, finance, and technical expertise, as well as strong organisational and communication skills. Strong knowledge and experience of ERP systems is essential.
We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss
