Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties to assist lawyers and case teams in the Abu Dhabi office and across the Firm's global Corporate practice. This position provides paralegal support to lawyers handling complex transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. The paralegal maintains positive contact with clients and observes confidentiality of client matters; organises and maintains transaction materials, supports preparation of contracts, advisory documents, business development proposals, thought leadership publications and other documents; coordinates with vendors and local counsel; and performs other tasks required to support the team. Keeps accurate time records and expected to record a minimum of 1,650 billable hours per year.

Candidate must be able to:
- Work independently.
- Work efficiently in an environment that is heavily computer based with all files being maintained both electronically and in hard copy.
- Follow and execute established client and team guidelines for matter, transaction and document management.
- Follow the ethical requirements, confidentiality obligations and professional standards applicable to the jurisdiction in which employed and to the matters being handled.
Candidates will have the following responsibilities:
- Organise and maintain case documents, files, team databases and electronic data.
- Prepare case document working notebooks.
- Cite checks briefs, legal memoranda, etc., in conformance with court policies and rules.
- Organise and maintain document management systems in sophisticated and complex matters.
- Perform assigned legal research tasks using all available resources including libraries and computer data systems.
- Draft, review, summarise and report on contracts, memoranda of advice and other legal documents at a level commensurate with experience and educational background.
- Stay current on relevant industry, legal and regulatory developments and assist with preparing articles, client updates and other related materials.
- Assist with data room set-up, due diligence review and related document production.
- Conduct legal and corporate research, including research on corporate filing practices, and prepare research memoranda.
- Coordinate closing logistics, including preparing closing indexes, signature packets and execution instructions; overseeing execution of documents; and arranging for recordation or filing of appropriate documents.
- Prepare and file documents with DIFC and ADGM, taking into account applicable jurisdictional requirements and procedures.
- Draft post-closing memoranda in accordance with client and lawyer specifications.
QUALIFICAITONS:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree and have a keen interest in the law.
- Your strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, combined with your proficiency in legal research tools and office software, sets you apart.
- You communicate clearly, effectively and professionally in writing and verbally with clients, lawyers, staff, vendors, case participants and personnel at all levels.
- You are highly organised, detail-oriented and responsive, with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to manage numerous tasks and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- You stay calm and focused when deadlines are tight and priorities shift.
- You are a true team player who values a positive and inclusive working environment and does your part to support it.
- You can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a global team, including across offices, practice groups and time zones.
- You have substantive familiarity with litigation, arbitration or other dispute-resolution processes and experience supporting complex disputes matters.
- You have well-developed Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and familiarity with document-management, collaboration and review platforms such as Teams, Relativity or similar platforms.
- You bring strong proofreading, cite-checking, research, organisational and analytical skills, with close attention to detail in written work product and case materials.
- You have experience supporting Energy, construction and Indian matters and are able to work overtime, evenings and weekends when required.
- You keep accurate time records, use appropriate descriptions of work and meet time-entry deadlines.
