The Team

We are seeking an experienced contingent workforce professional to join our HR team and play a key role in shaping and delivering our EMEA contingent workforce strategy.

This role will initially be offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on business needs and mutual fit.

The successful candidate will help strengthen our approach to engaging contingent talent by providing expertise across contractor classification, contract governance, compliance and operational excellence. Working closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Procurement and business leaders, you will help build a scalable and effective contingent workforce model that enables the organisation to access external talent while managing risk.

How you will contribute

Contingent Workforce Governance & Management

• Help establish consistent governance, processes and standards for engaging contingent workers.
• Support the drafting, review and governance of contingent worker contracts and related documentation.
• Ensure agreements align with internal policies, business requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve complex engagement scenarios.

Worker Classification & Compliance

• Act as a subject matter expert on contingent worker classification, including contractor, agency worker and consultancy arrangements.
• Advise HR partners, hiring managers and business leaders on appropriate engagement approaches.
• Ensure required compliance checks, approvals and documentation are completed before engagement.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Support audit readiness and continuous improvement of compliance processes.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Build trusted relationships with HR, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Legal and business leaders.
• Provide practical, business-focused advice on contingent workforce matters.
• Support hiring managers in making informed decisions about external talent engagement.
• Act as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for contingent workforce queries.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve contingent workforce processes.
• Support the development of guidance materials, training and stakeholder communications.
• Improve visibility, reporting and governance across contingent workforce activity.
• Contribute to the evolution of a best-in-class contingent workforce programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in drafting employment, contingent worker, or vendor contracts
• Experience in contingent workforce management, HR operations, workforce strategy, employment compliance or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of contractor engagement models and worker classification principles.
• Experience supporting or managing contingent worker contracts and compliance processes.
• Ability to advise stakeholders and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and influencing skills.

Preferred

• Experience working across multiple countries or regions, particularly EMEA.
• Experience partnering with Legal, Talent Acquisition and HR teams.
• Knowledge of UK and international employment compliance considerations.
• Background in HR, employment law, workforce consulting or procurement.
