We are looking for a strategic finance leader to oversee transformation, governance, and process excellence initiatives for a Global Luxury/Fashion brand out of the New York City office. This role will shape more consistent, controlled, and efficient finance operations by partnering with shared services and business stakeholders to improve core financial cycles, reporting quality, and accountability. The ideal candidate brings strong experience leading operational change, strengthening controls, and driving measurable improvements in a complex, global environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead regional finance transformation efforts by redesigning operating practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and oversight across key processes.
• Partner closely with shared services and corporate finance teams to align regional activities with enterprise standards, service expectations, and control requirements.
• Enhance the performance of core finance workflows, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, tax, and treasury activities.
• Establish and reinforce governance structures, reconciliation standards, and account ownership practices to support accurate financial records and a strong control environment.
• Create and monitor performance indicators that surface operational risks, measure effectiveness, and support timely corrective action.
• Direct remediation and clean-up initiatives to improve data reliability, balance sheet integrity, and overall financial discipline.
• Oversee purchase order process adoption and promote compliance with group policies related to spending controls and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate audit preparation and execution by serving as a central point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional business partners to advance process improvements while maintaining compliance, accountability, and cost awareness.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, finance operations, or a comparable function.
• Proven success leading finance transformation, process improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of core finance process areas such as record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, tax, and treasury.
• Experience collaborating with shared service organizations or centralized finance teams within a large-scale business environment.
• Ability to work effectively across matrixed teams in an international organization and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Background in internal controls, governance, project delivery, and process optimization.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
