An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a leading international law firm's Intellectual Property team in Sydney.
This role offers the chance to work closely with highly regarded partners on a broad range of contentious and advisory IP matters, with a strong emphasis on patent litigation. You will also collaborate across practices and offices, supporting complex, high-profile matters for both Australian and international clients.
The team advises on the full spectrum of IP issues, including patents, trademarks, copyright, confidential information, licencing and commercialisation, across a diverse portfolio of well-known global and domestic clients.
Your new role

Advising on patent litigation and other contentious IP matters

Supporting complex infringement and validity disputes

Providing strategic advice on IP protection, enforcement and commercialisation

Drafting and reviewing legal documents across a range of IP matters

Conducting legal research on complex technical and legal issues

Working closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to client relationship management

What you'll need to succeed

Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia

3-4 years PQE in Intellectual Property from a reputable law firm

Strong experience in IP litigation and advisory work

Excellent academic background

Demonstrated ability to work on complex and technical matters

A science or technical background will be highly regarded.

Commercially minded with strong attention to detail

Confident in managing aspects of matters and working both independently and collaboratively
