We are seeking a Sales Support Associate to be based in our Frankfurt office. The role will involved supporting senior members of the Business Development team in Frankfurt to increase Insight's Assets under Management in Germany. The Investment focus is on LDI, fixed income and multi asset strategies for German institutional investors.

Department Profile:

The Frankfurt-based distribution team is part of the wider Distribution division. The Distribution division is responsible for managing Insight’s relationships with prospects. Insight has a highly experienced team of client and business development specialists managing a diverse range of mandates for clients.

 

The team works closely with the London-based Client Solutions Group which is made up of client directors, client service specialists, solution designers and investment specialists who manage the existing client relationships.

Purpose of role:

  • Support senior members of the Business Development team in Frankfurt to increase Insight's Assets under Management in Germany
  • Investment focus is on LDI, fixed income and multi asset strategies for German institutional investors

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior team members in developing and maintaining strong knowledge-based relationships with key contacts in the German institutional market space. This includes:
    • Maintaining, preparing and extending pitch material (presentations, factsheets, marketing material, RfPs etc.) 
    • Preparing and coordinating internal and external meetings/calls
    • Managing the post-sales process (follow-up preparations, pipeline, meeting notes etc.)  
    • Coordinating the relationship with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, investment teams, consultant and client teams)
    • Support the senior team members in continuously evolving the investment narratives
    • Conducting desk-research on an ad hoc basis
    • Help identifying new opportunities 

Knowledge, skills and behaviours  required:

 

Insight is seeking a fluent German speaker with 1+ years relevant work experience in financial services (e.g. investment/actuarial/pension consulting, asset management, banking, insurance, auditing). Most importantly, their desire is to attract an individual with strong analytical and communication skills who show energy, real drive and enthusiasm for what they do. They will consider candidates with a collaborative approach towards delivering a high-quality outcome. Ideally candidates will demonstrate:

  • Relevant Economics/Finance degree, preferably with a quantitative angle  
  • Good knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships (internally and externally)
  • Highly motivated to support identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Drive to gain an in-depth understanding of the German institutional marketplace, including regulatory and accounting requirements as well as the operational set-up 
  • Ability/potential to develop from a support into a sales role
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Good English language skills (oral and written) are essential
