Our client is an international asset management firm, they are now seeking for a high calibre candidate to join them.
Assist in reviewing annual & interim credit reviews for all Asian issuers currently covered by different investment desks. Help in collection of credit data and rating agency reports for data update & verification. Assist in reviewing cases including fast track credit application, treasury bank proposals, issuers with guarantees from supernations, country and sovereign reviews. Ensure the quality and timeliness of the credit research and recommendations for all names in Asia. Follow up on the approval conditions and discussion with different investment desks on the potential transactions. Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures to which the local credit procedures of other countries in Asia are aligned. Manage credit quality of existing portfolio ensuring that early warning indicator is properly assessed and annual review overdues are within the tolerance level. Minimize investment credit losses by identifying and proactively managing problem loans. Monitor the credit limit utilization, and advise on the necessary internal approvals on any excess position. Direct involvement in any additional investment asset classes, covering the impact analysis, process requirements, procedure updates and other data requirements on the utilization database. Support Credit Risk Management on any country review, stress tests, data enquiries and any ad hoc assignment from Head Office. Assist in the internal & external audits for credit matters on the investment portfolios. Support in reviewing new product assessment proposals for Asia. Perform periodic review and update on the investment policies and procedure manuals for different Asian countries. Lead and participate in other ad-hoc projects/requests as needed.
To qualify for the position, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years of related experience in credit risk management and credit portfolio management. Seasoned institutional credit analysis skills. Solid knowledge of the regional credit markets. Good report writing skill in English with fluency in English and Mandarin. Mature and disciplined personality with strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to research and understand regulatory requirements across a diverse region.
