About the team
Financial Accounting Section is responsible for financial, regulatory and tax reporting function including HKMA returns and tax computation. It also handles bank reconciliation and accounting operation control function.
Role requirements
- Manage Daily Accounting Operation Control (AOC) Team such as Bank Reconciliations, Suspense Accounts, Sundry Accounts monitoring…etc and handle month-end and year end closing process;
- Review and prepare monthly internal control reports and monthly reports to head office;
- Ensure internal controls policies are complied with SOX regulations;
- Maintain good internal controls and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting;
- Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments as required;
- Support Accounting Function for different business
- Support Duco Project;
- Supervise and manage AOC Team with three subordinates.
Essential Functions

- Review and prepare monthly internal control reports and monthly reports to head office
- Ensure internal controls policies are complied with SOX regulations
- Maintain good internal controls and ensure effectiveness in financial reporting
Competencies
- Good team player with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills
- Good integrity
Work experience, education and skills
- Over 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting Operation Control in the banking industry
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Qualified accountant will be at advantage
- Good command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese, Mandarin is preferred
- Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
- Have excellent attention to detail and adhere strictly to rules, standards, and deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office, particular in Excel
