Description

Core member of the Regional Investment team providing functional support to Investment Operations across the region to meet the O&T and business objectives. The candidate manages a team of Operations Analysts and partner with country Investment Ops units to ensure smooth delivery of daily operations function, revisit processes and recommend initiatives to improve processes and productivity for better efficiency and actively manage offshore testing units to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide functional support of day-to-day operations of Investment products (Mutual Funds, Bonds, Structured Products and Stocks Brokerage Product) for onshore and offshore businesses
  • Provide Custody operations support for offshore clients to manage the SG Markets stocks custodies with Central Depository Services Singapore
  • Provide oversight governance to COE centers established in Chennai, India performing day to day outsourced operational processing
  • Undertake new and/or system enhancement projects to support for existing / new products
  • Manage Structured Products MIS Dashboard tools supporting Regional Business
Governance:
  • Commit to deliverables within the department's established SLA and to comply with policies and operating procedures / guidelines of the Bank 
  • Ensure timely handling of transactions, meeting and exceeding the service expectation with internal clients
Risk & Control:
  • Manage the Settlements, Asset Servicing and Corporate Actions team ensuring periodic review of risk and control, perform self-audit testing, ensuring audit readiness, etc.
  • Review daily exceptions and manage General Ledgers' outage and reconciliation breaks as well as manage complaints, operational enquiries and system technicality issues
  • Manage Audit deliverable and submit periodic regulatory reporting and ad-hoc management deliverables
  • Participate in Markets and Custody regulated changes to comply with the operating process from time to time
Projects:
  • Participate in or lead discussion with stakeholders to support new value proposition and new product initiatives
  • Undertake system and technology projects as well as support Wealth Management Business in rolling out new products that includes infrastructure setup, system readiness and establishment of operating procedures
  • Initiate work process improvements to enhance productivity or reduce cycle time and cost effectiveness, provide innovative solutions and design, test and plan digital strategy for operational processes in order to achieve automation of processes and STP
Others:
  • Execute strategies by identifying processes which can be performed from COE centers with active governance and monitoring to achieve operational efficiencies
  • Any other administrative assignments given by the bank from time to time as the Bank may deem fit


Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree, preferably major in finance, accountancy or banking 
Experience / Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in related field
  • Good team player with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure 
  • Knowledge in Investment products is preferred. Excellent knowledge on investments products operational process flow is a must; specifically around Mutual Funds, Equities and Fixed Income securities products.
  • Technology savvy and resourceful with strong execution skills in handling process migrations
  • Strong project management experience handling large projects would be an advantage
  • Ability to partner with stakeholder groups to ensure seamless end-to-end processing and customer service
  • Excellent communication and interface skills
  • Ability to operate in diverse environments and cultures
