Business Associate - Group Intergration - London or Edinburgh
Role Profile:

We're looking for an Associate/Analyst to work with us on strategic transactions and business integration activities as a result of FNZ executing M&A and corporate venture deals, both current and in the future.

The right candidate is someone who has a passion for analysing and delivering complex project plans, has a detailed analytic brain, can understand and navigate a complex multi-facetted business, and can link in with the Strategy & Corporate Development (SCD) team to develop integration plans for any acquired companies or JV's.

There is a significant project management, reporting and operational component to this position.

This role is part of the group's Global Integration team and will be primarily based at FNZ's London headquarters.

Team Responsibilities :

Successfully executing integration projects, benefit tracking and realisation, and the wider corporate alignment of any acquired organisations that support the group's strategic growth.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting transactions from origination to completion

• Full involvement in project due diligence processes

• Preparation and evaluation of benefit financial models and preparation of investment cases (where needed)

• Assist/Lead the integration process on any or multiple acquisitions

• Support senior members of the team on strategic growth plans and risk mitigation

Experience Required:

• Strong Fintech/Financial Services sector advisory and integration/programme transactional experience within a top-tier bank or Big 4 accounting form, or corporate development experience

• Ability to lead/manage a multi-tiered delivery due diligence processes

• Demonstrate current industry knowledge and an awareness and understanding of regulatory and industry related change events as they occur - Deep understanding of financial institutions and banking regulations

• Besides strong analytical skills, being process driven and have a methodological way of working, you need to have excellent communication skills (concise and direct) and experience of influencing a broad range of decision makers and stakeholders

• Business case realisation and benefit analysis experience required

• Target Operation model experience and associated HR knowledge desirable

• Significant programme management exposure, with lean and agile working methodology a must

• Ability to translate high level M&A deal/transaction requirements into on the ground detailed project plans

• Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills

• Enthusiasm for taking on new responsibilities, even if outside areas of expertise

• Able to work in extremely fast-paced environment, collaboratively, and autonomously

• Willingness and ability to travel

• Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style with superior analytical thinking & commercially aware

• An understanding of the UK platform market desirable


• Excellent academics in business/management

• 3-5 years' experience in programme / analyst roles

• Excellent analytical and technical skills, strong command of project and delivery concepts

• Strong command of business case/benefit realisation and financial analysis planning

• Intermediate HR process skills desirable

• Excellent English skills (written and oral) are a must
