Our client a leading Fund with and extensive track record of superior performance is looking to add and execution trader and data analytics associate to their trading team. As part of a high performing desk you will be responsible for trading and transaction cost analysis across a wide variety of instruments. As well as Trading for the PM's you will deliver thought provoking insights from TCA via quantitative analysis & visualisation of trading data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal in all asset classes on behalf of the Funds
  • Assist in developing & maintaining an comprehensive execution analysis platform
  • Multi-benchmark TCA of trading flows across Equity and Fixed Income
  • Delivering thought provoking insights from TCA via quantitative analysis & visualisation of trading data
  • Pre-, Intra- & Post-Trade analysis
  • Review and challenge data to ensure reports are accurate
  • Produce data to help reduce costs and improve elements of trade execution
  • Ensure all trading is in line with best execution principles and policies
  • Maintenance of Processes and Procedures
  • On-going system and process enhancements              
  • Provide data & analysis for management reports
  • Contribution to other projects

 

 

Key Competencies

 

  • Degree educated or equivalent – Mathematics or Computer Science preferred
  • Trading experience at a buy-side or sell-side institution (ideally 3+ years)
  • Solid understanding of market risk, including impact, liquidity and, opportunity risk
  • Strong background in trade data analysis & visualisation
  • In depth understanding of equities market structures
  • Experience with trading processes and TCA
  • Experience of successfully managing trading impact when dealing with sensitive orders
  • Familiarity with 3rd party TCA systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively develop project /research ideas
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of financial databases such as Bloomberg & Factset
  • Strong excel skills and data management languages
  • Awareness of global macroeconomics and financial markets
  • Proven record of working as part of team and on an individual basis
  • Motivation towards learning new skills
  • Able to meet the regulatory requirements of the role
  • Maintains the FCA Approved Controlled Function 30
