An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Manager to join this leading software provider delivering innovative and award winning complex decision making analytics to a broad range of investment institutions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at this leading software provider for the investment community for an experienced Product Manager to join the Product management team.  Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll be responsible for helping to craft the product strategy, collecting proposed business requirements and project managing development. In your interactions with engineering, you will motivate staff to improve productivity/pride-in-product and contribute to a climate of innovation and success.


  • Responsible for production of product requirements that support the defined proposition plan
  • Responsible for prioritisation of product requirements presented by customers, Sales & Chief Commercial Officer and conducing ROI analysis
  • Responsible for writing detailed Product Requirement Specification
  • Responsible for ensuring consistent design across the product platform
  • Accountable for building the detailed schedule and critical path and accompanying structure that lays out the work needed to complete the delivery of the product, define resourcing needed
  • Accountable for committing to the proposed plan


  • Responsible for overseeing the delivery of new products and/or capabilities in line with defined product requirements
  • Responsible for assessing the technical feasibility of producing the product
  • Responsible for ensuring issues are managed and product delivery remains on target for cost, time and quality, ensure governance, managing risk, reporting
  • Responsible for creating technical documentation for product for internal and external use covering the architecture, design, security and processes, operational documentation
  • Responsible for product launch process for new products and liaise with Sales and Marketing to ensure communication/alignment/standardisation of processes, escalations etc.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics – post-graduate specialist study is preferred
  • Proven experience in Product Management roles, ideally gained in a blend of consulting and large corporate environments where innovative analytical approaches were used for product development decision-making
  • First-hand knowledge of working in an Asset Management function OR working for a vendor whose products cover public equities. The purpose is to understand how our customers work and therefore provide relevant training insights and suggestions. Also, to understand how different segments of the market have differing requirements from the system e.g. a Multi Manager’s needs versus a Pension Fund’s needs
  • Knowledge of markets other than public equities, e.g. Fixed Income, is an advantage
