Kennedys is seeking an ambitious Associate with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience to join its growing Cyber and Risk team in Dubai.

The Role

You will work as part of a specialist team advising insurers, their insureds and corporate clients on cyber incidents, data breaches and related regulatory and litigation risks across the Middle East and beyond. The practice covers:

• Incident response and crisis management following ransomware, business email compromise and other cyber events

• Data protection and privacy advice (including UAE PDPL and regional regimes)

• Regulatory notifications and engagement with data protection authorities

• Coverage advice under cyber insurance policies

• Data subject claims and related litigation support

You will work closely with partners and senior colleagues in Dubai and across Kennedys' global cyber network, gaining exposure to high-profile, multi-jurisdictional matters.

The Candidate

• 3-5 years' PQE with demonstrable experience in cyber, data privacy, insurance or commercial litigation

• Strong academic background and excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to manage caseloads, work under pressure and deliver clear, commercial advice

• Ideally qualified in England & Wales, Australia, or another common-law jurisdiction; UAE experience or willingness to develop regional expertise is an advantage

• Team player with a proactive, client-focused approach
