About our client Our client is the primary investment arm of one of the largest german banks and looking to add an Investment Manager to their growing Frankfurt office. The team invests from the bank's balance sheet supporting medium-sized family companies in implementing growth plans, financing expansion, in company succession matters and with changes to shareholder structure. This can be in the form of majority and minority shareholdings and with mezzanine components. Their current portfolio comprises a total investment volume of ~ EUR 400 million so far, covering various sector industries such as E-Commerce, SaaS SW, MedTech and Food. Their down-to-earth team and large cooperative network culture is great for doing Mittelstands investments in central Germany
What the job involves - Involvement in the origination and selection of new investment targets as well as handle varied challenges due to different business models of target and portfolio companies
- Evaluation of potential investments, including the identification and assessment of key risks and opportunities and driving internal discussions on investment
- Leading and contributing to key works streams in a deal context, such as financial analysis and modelling, commercial analysis and due diligence
- Suggestion and implementation of new ideas for best practice, gleaned from insight and experience
Who we are looking for - Several years of transactions experience in M&A boutiques, Big4 FDD/CDD/M&A, smaller PEs, family offices or industrial holdings
- Master's degree from a renowned university preferably in economics or industrial engineering, ideally with specific expertise in corporate and acquisition finance
- Agile and sharp personality that adapts well into their team
- Strong analytical skills and outstanding business judgement
- Native level German language skills and fluency in English are a must
