About our client Our client is a private equity backed global healthcare group serving the pharmaceutical industry and patients worldwide with an international footprint and a turnover in excess of 500 million Euros. As part of their ambitious growth strategy, they are looking for a Head of Global Financial Planning & Analysis based in the Munich Metropolitan area.
What the job involves - Setting up and leading a highly efficient Group FP&A function, working closely with the Group CFO in an international environment with manufacturing plants around the globe
- Leading groupwide FP&A and communication
- Leading groupwide strategic financial initiatives that support the company's strategic plans
- Developing and driving business metrics and targets
- Performing profound business analysis across all business units
- Continuous improvement and optimisation of finance processes as well as controlling instruments and tools
- Main point of contact for the private equity shareholder for all finance related matters including ad-hoc analyses
- Involvement in preparation, planning, and execution of the exit (at a later stage)
- International travel will be required
Who we are looking for - Master's degree in Business Administration with financial focus or similar education
- Experience in leading FP&A in a corporate or at a large segment/business unit level in a multi-location complex manufacturing organisation
- Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow management in the context of private equity ownership; therefore, experience in a Private Equity portfolio company would be advantageous
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or CDMO advantageous
- Experience in one of the Big 4 accounting firms is welcomed
- Strategic thinking regarding competitive strategy, business models and financial management
- Strong business focus in managing day-to-day operations
- Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills as well as managerial capabilities, drive, and a willingness to roll-up the sleeves
- Capability to work effectively under pressure and to meet challenging targets
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate international relationships; able to drive alignment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent English skills; German desirable
