Director - Product Control- Governance and Controls Bulge Bracket IB

This is a new role within the Product Control function, whose focus is to enhance accountability and reinforce control capabilities in the first line of defence within the function. Key stakeholders include Product Control senior management team, senior infrastructure, and Front office stakeholders, wider controls teams,  external regulators and internal/external auditors.
This role will require the identification and consolidation of all regulatory, audit and internal control requirements to ensure the function can efficiently meet control commitments. You will set the standard for these commitments, including assessment, policy documentation and monitoring criteria, and performing cross functional assesments among PC teams in all regions.
This individual needs to ensure a well-defined governance structure to achieve consistency and effectiveness of the Equites PC controls framework. Additionally, maintain close partnering with global PC teams to ensure the function control framework is forward looking and adapts to rapidly evolving market, infrastructure changes, operational and conduct risk environment.
Lastly, acts as the central advisory function to global PC teams on matters related to PC control framework and standards.

There will be siginficant regulatory face off responsibility, as well as senior management. You will have a small team to own and manage with further off shored resource to support deliverables. It is likely you have a background in Product Control, and or change mangement within that function, be a qualified accountant (desired, not required) or be have been in a controls/governance role supporting trading infrastructure teams in a top tier institution, used to the regulatory scrutiny that this role will require a first hand knowledge of.
