Full Stack Developer

Purpose of Job

Build and deliver solutions to meet trading desk requirements that mitigate issues and/or improve efficiency of the traders on trading desks. They will be covering trading desks across Derivatives, Equities, and Fixed Income business lines.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Day to day engagement with business stakeholders to understand their issues and requirements to drive greater efficiency in their day to day operations. Work closely with stakeholders across IT and the FO to make sure we deliver appropriate, maintainable, and supportable solutions according to agreed priorities. Full ownership of the solutions delivered and responsibility for their stable, effective, and efficient running. Manage an active backlog with stakeholders across FO and IT. Collaborate with the rest of the IT department to advance delivery of projects and capability to the FO. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to sell ideas.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Good understanding and experience of Front Office delivery in a Capital Markets environment. Good experience of the different activities within the Front Office for Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives business lines.

Rapid delivery techniques in a dynamic environment such as iterative delivery.

Strong development experience across Python, C#, and SQL. MS Excel solutions for FO.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills

Useful

Experience of working with Front Office vendor platform such as Bloomberg, ION, Fidessa, etc Delivery of Analytics solutions for the FO. Trade STP FO Risk solutions Agile practices using Scrum or equivalent. Atlassian tooling for backlog management and wiki content.
