Position Description:

PIMCO's US Global Wealth Management (GWM) division is looking for an ETF Platform Account Manager to join PIMCO's ETF distribution team. PIMCO currently manages over $24B across 18 ETFs in the US and is an innovator and market leader in active fixed income ETFs. As the world's premier active fixed income manager, PIMCO is committed to growing its ETF business to become a dominant player in the active fixed income ETF market. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team in the early stages of expanding PIMCO's already successful ETF franchise.

The ETF Account Manager will focus on platform placement and model sales within the US wealth market. More specifically, the ideal candidate will be responsible for growing PIMCO's ETF business by focusing on TAMPs, home office model portfolios, and new strategic partnerships. In addition to being responsible for generating sales both directly and through collaboration with PIMCO's existing distribution team, the ideal candidate will be pivotal in contributing to the development of PIMCO's evolving distribution system. As such, the candidate must be a true team player who possesses superior sales skills, ETF expertise, strong ability to collaborate, and an advanced understanding of the evolving financial advisory business.

Responsibilities:
  • Join an entrepreneurial, team-focused, distribution effort charged with growing PIMCO's ETF business
  • Identify and establish new partnerships to grow PIMCO's ETF model business with TAMPs, Broker/Dealers, FinTech/Digital platforms and Commercial RIAs
  • Work with existing and new strategic account relationships to focus on PIMCO ETF allocations in home office models
  • Build marketing and sales campaigns to drive PIMCO ETF models business with existing partners and clients
  • Partner with GWM colleagues across sales, strategic accounts, models, etc. to advocate for ETF-focused initiatives while navigating complex relationships
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of PIMCO's products, platforms, themes, initiatives, markets, strategies, and policies
  • Represent PIMCO ETFs at industry and client events
  • Comply with all travel and expense reimbursement and detailed activity reporting in a timely manner
  • Maintain highest level of compliance with all industry, client firm, and PIMCO regulations


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses required
  • Minimum of 5 years in an ETF client facing role (external/hybrid/national accounts)
  • Industry designations (ex. CFA, CPA) and/or MBA and plus
  • Clean U-4
  • Significant travel is required
  • Broker/dealer home office ETF contact a plus


Skills:
  • Excellent partnership and relationships building skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the ETF ecosystem
  • Thorough knowledge of the TAMP and model landscape
  • Existing relationships with key prospects and clients
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with desire to help build the distribution infrastructure for a growing ETF business
  • Self-starter, ability to work within the firm's demanding and highly focused environment
