Our client is a leading financial institution undergoing continuous digital transformation and technology modernisation. To support strategic technology initiatives, they are looking for an Assistant Manager, IT Procurement to join the IT Project Management team. As part of the IT Project team, you will partner closely with Project Managers, Technology leaders and vendors to manage procurement activities for major technology initiatives. You will be responsible for sourcing technology solutions, managing vendor engagements and ensuring procurement processes support project delivery timelines.

Your new role

• Support procurement activities for strategic IT and digital transformation projects
• Collaborate with project managers to develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines
• Manage RFP, RFQ and tender processes for technology solutions and services
• Conduct commercial evaluation, supplier assessment and contract negotiation
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, risk and information security teams during vendor onboarding
• Monitor project procurement milestones and vendor deliverables
• Drive cost optimisation while ensuring quality and project objectives are achieved
• Maintain strong relationships with technology suppliers and strategic partners
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal governance and regulatory requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Information Technology or related disciplines
• 3+ years of procurement experience with exposure to technology procurement
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, system implementation, application development, cloud or digital transformation projects
• Knowledge of RFP/RFQ processes, vendor evaluation and contract management
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with project teams within banking, financial services or large enterprises is advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese
