In a memo seen by eFinancialCareers, JPMorgan's global head of rates trading, Matthew Franklin-Lyons, said Prickett had informed him of his intention to explore a new role. He is understood to be discussing other opportunities internally.

JPMorgan declined to comment.

Prickett has spent nearly 24 years at JPMorgan and has been head of EMEA rates trading for five years.

Franklin-Lyons said Prickett's reports, Julian Baker, Badr Mernissi, Keith Price, Goya Subramanian and Nok To will now report directly to him.

It's not clear who will replace Prickett. EMEA rates desks had a difficult 2024. BCG Expand estimated that their revenues fell 43% year-on-year in the first nine months.
