UBS said to part company with longserving senior trading MD

It's not clear whether UBS asked John Newman to leave, or whether he left of his own accord in search of more fertile terrain, but multiple sources say he's no longer there, which is unusual this close to the year-end. 

Newman didn't respond to a request to comment. UBS declined to elaborate. 

Newman spent 24 years at the bank in London and was latterly co-head of derivatives and solutions trading, having been shunted into that role in February 2024. Prior to that, he spent around a decade in global FX trading roles. Good luck John!
